NASVI is launching the Safe Food Game, an interactive initiative where street food vendors answer engaging questions and learn important food safety practices in a fun and simple way.

The workshop brought together team members from different programs to engage in meaningful discussions around policies, program strategies, and long-term planning. It created a space not only for learning but also for reflection and open dialogue.

Under the Safe Mobility initiative, Hon’ble Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan flagged off e-rickshaws driven by SHG women entrepreneurs from Piprauli Block. After strengthening their skills, these women are now stepping confidently onto the roads—turning opportunity into livelihood.

NASVI has successfully mobilized SHG women and CLF members from Piprauli Block to take part in a live E-Rickshaw Driving practical session in Gorakhpur, reinforcing the skills they have already developed.

Mr. Sangam Singh, President of Gorakhpur TLF, submitted a memorandum to the Hon’ble Member of Parliament from Gorakhpur, Shri Ravi Kishan. The memorandum highlighted various issues and concerns faced by street vendors.

India’s street vendors work in some of the harshest conditions imaginable — standing in 40–45°C heat for 8 to 12 hours a day, with no shade, no cold storage, and no safety net. As climate change pushes temperatures higher every year, the people who feed our cities are paying the heaviest price.
