Street vendors in Jodhpur are facing eviction, confiscation of goods, and harassment in the name of anti-encroachment, putting the livelihoods of hundreds of families at risk. Vendors have raised concerns over removals without proper rehabilitation, consultation, or due process under the Street Vendors Act, 2014.
Taking serious note of the situation, NASVI has written to the Jodhpur administration seeking immediate intervention, an end to unlawful evictions, and strict compliance with the Street Vendors Act.
NASVI stands firmly with street vendors and demands protection of their rights, dignity, and livelihoods.
