National Conference and Asia Regional Workshop – in New Delhi
NASVI (National Association of Street Vendors of India) secretariat in collaboration with the StreetNet International, is organizing the third Asia regional workshop along with National Conference, to be held in Delhi, India from 27 to 30 August 2014.
The objective of the workshop is to improve campaigning skills, develop Asia action plans and explore possible region wide actions. The other aim of this workshop is to review regional priorities, exchange experience and share information on activities undertaken at the national and regional levels, Inclusive Urban Policies; Collective Negotiations Forums at local government level; Participatory litigation strategies strengthen and promotion Social Protection Floors for street vendors and Cross-border traders’ organisation.
This year’s Asia workshop will break new ground by taking stock of the situation of street vendors in different countries, the responses of national governments towards livelihood rights of street vendors, and chalking out country specific plans of action.
