On 20th February 2025, nearly 90 street vendors from Khau Gali, Buddh Marg (Maurya Lok), Patna protested against their forced eviction by municipal authorities. Despite the Street Vendors Act 2014, their stalls were removed without prior notice, leaving them without a livelihood.
The Maurya Lok Footpath Dukandaar Sangh has strongly opposed this action, demanding a written assurance for their rehabilitation before any further displacement. Vendors remain firm—they will not vacate without a fair resolution!
