A massive earthquake of 7.9 magnitudes has struck Nepal causing widespread destruction. An earthquake of this size can be deadly, toppling buildings, and destroying roads and infrastructure.
As StreetNet International Regional Focal Point of Asia, NASVI along with local Partner NIDAN is currently working to get accurate information both from Kathmandu, the capital but more so from outside the capital where resources are even more bleak. We will be partnering with StreetNet Affiliate in Nepal (NEST) to support not just the immediate efforts but also the intermediate and long-term effects of this disaster.
Over 3000 people have lost their lives. NASVI is assessing the damage and preparing to respond to the urgent needs of survivors. In the wake of a crisis, it is Informal workers and children who suffer most.
Heartbreaking natural disasters over the past two days have shaken thousands of families in Nepal.
The disaster can now be measured in lives lost, the seriously injured and the long suffering. But as the days go by and the physical and emotional recovery begins, it will be with the support of people like you, StreetNet International and NASVI that will measure our compassion for others.
In our compassionate efforts we have helped ease pain and suffering experienced by men, woman and tens of thousands of children. We are committed to help! With your help, we will continue our mission to provide food, clothing, and personal hygiene items and over the counter medicines.
And as we ask for your generous financial support, please know that we want your heartfelt prayers to never cease. Please pray for the people of Nepal!
Your prayers and financial support will give thousands of people the opportunity to rebuild their lives in a way that can bring the most comfort during these very difficult times.
And right now, we need your help!
Please consider a Donation of support right now. Any gift will help. Even minor Donation of $20, $50 or $100 can help Nepaleese people.
Thank you in advance for anything you can do to help us prepare for the next disaster. May God bless you and may His face shine upon you.
All the money raised will be donated to local organizations other relief agencies on the ground in Nepal.
