NASVI Rath Campaign

NASVI, in the month of June, 2014, carried out Rath campaign in the state of Maharashtra. The purpose of the Rath campaign is to generate awareness among masses about the Central law for street vendors. The Rath campaign started on 16th June, 2014 from Pune, Maharashtra with a meeting in Pune. The Rath travelled across 36 places in Maharashtra-

Pune, Pimpri, chinchbad, Khed, Manchar, aalephata, Ahmednagar,Rahuri, Koporgaon, Sirdi, Sinnar, Aurangabad, Solapur, Barsi, Kalamb, Ambejogai, Latur, Beed, Usmanaba, Tuljapur, Pandharpur, Gandagapur, Akkalkot, Baramati, Satara, Sangli, Miraj, Kolhapur, Mahabaleswar, Chiploon, Khed, Vasi, Panbel, Lonavla, Khandala, Talegaon.

From 16th June 2014, NASVI Rath travelled various places across Maharashtra as listed above. The Rath halted at various market places and NASVI members travelling in the Rath held public gathering whereby information about the central law and policies pertaining to street vendors were disseminated among masses. Also pamphlets and copies of the central law were distributed among the vendors of various markets to enhance their information. The Rath campaign ended on 11th July, 2014 with a State convention in Pune, Maharashtra.
