After the successful completion of two phases of training of food vendors NASVI and also NESTLE team were enthusiastic about replicating it in other cities. Based on several aspects including the fact that Jaipur is a hot tourist destination and also very rich and vibrant food culture. FDA Rajasthan and ministry of health also took this move very positively and assured the team to support the training program.pre event preparation was very nicely by team member of NESTLE and NASVI. Few leaders of street food vendors of Jaipur who were aware of Goa program were very happy to hear that training will be replicated there.
Jaipur safe street food training was launched on 6th July at Jawahar Kala Kendra, J L N Marg jaipur. It was good strategy to launch the training followed by a training session. First training session had more than 80 food vendors which was not the right ratio but it was not possible to send them back as they were there with lots of aspiration. Training was inaugurated by Health minister, Government of Rajasthan, Shri Kalicharan Saraf. Dias was shared by Nestle Sanjay Khajuria, Senior VP nestle. Arbind singh, National Coordinator NASVI and officials of FDA. Smriti Verma, Komal Arora and Harvinder singh from NESTLE team played vital role in facilitating inaugural session.
