The National Association of Street Vendors of India (NASVI) has written to the Municipal Corporation of Delhi urging immediate implementation of the Street Vendors (Protection of Livelihood and Regulation of Street Vending) Act, 2014 and compliance with the Delhi High Court order dated 9 February 2026.

The letter highlights the delay in issuing Certificates of Vending (CoVs), preparation of electoral rolls, conducting Town Vending Committee (TVC) elections, constitution of TVCs, and finalisation of vending zones, leaving thousands of street vendors in uncertainty.

Copies of the letter have also been marked to Rekha Gupta, the Hon’ble CM, Delhi, Ashish Sood, the Secretary of the Urban Development Department (GNCTD), and Vinai Kumar Saxena, urging coordinated action to ensure the law is implemented and the livelihoods of street vendors are protected.
