NASS, National Alliance for Social Security, and NASVI organized State Level Consultation Meeting in Jamshedpur on 5th December 2024. In his meeting many representatives attended the meeting, Dhanbad’s street vendor leaders Bhagwan Das and Pramila attended the meeting, along with Neha Dwivedi and Anup Ji from Seva Sanstha as chief guests. In Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, addressing the issues of street vendors, Shri Nandkishore Sah, President of the Local Self-Employed Street Vendors Cooperative Society, spoke about the social insecurity of street vendors.
Bhagwan Das, President of the Dhanbad City Level Footpath Shopkeepers Union, highlighted the problems faced by laborers and the unorganized sector.
NASVI representative, Ajit Kumar informed all the attendees about the objectives of the meeting and the upcoming plans. He provided detailed information about five key demands for the better future of workers presented by NASS. The attendees applauded and appealed to support the information shared. Neha Ji justified NASS’s demands in the interest of workers and called for support by turning it into a nationwide movement.
