The Street Vendor Leaders’ Meeting, organised by the National Association of Street Vendors of India (NASVI), was successfully held in Delhi with active participation from vendor leaders and representatives.
The meeting served as a vital platform to discuss key policy and welfare issues, including the renewal and issuance of Certificates of Vending (COV), identification and regulation of vending zones, implementation of the PM SVANidhi scheme, access to social security and health benefits, mutual funds, and accidental insurance coverage for street vendors.
The deliberations reaffirmed NASVI’s commitment to safeguarding the rights, livelihoods, and dignity of street vendors while strengthening dialogue with stakeholders for long-term, inclusive urban solutions.
