The 15th edition of the National Street Food Festival was inaugurated today by the Hon’ble Union Minister of Culture & Tourism, Government of India, Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, marking a proud and significant moment for the celebration of India’s rich street food heritage.
The inauguration highlighted the Government of India’s continued commitment to promoting India’s cultural diversity, traditional livelihoods, and culinary legacy. During his visit, Shri Shekhawat toured the festival grounds, visited multiple food stalls, and interacted warmly with street food vendors who had travelled from different states to showcase their regional specialities.
Expressing his appreciation, the Hon’ble Minister acknowledged the hard work, resilience, and entrepreneurial spirit of street food vendors, who play a vital role in preserving authentic flavours and local food traditions. He lauded the festival as a powerful platform that brings together culture, tourism, and livelihoods, while giving national visibility to India’s vibrant street food ecosystem.
