Mr. Arbind Singh
is a social entrepreneur and activist working with informal workers in India. A master degree holder from Delhi School of Economics, Mr. Arbind Singh always had a passion to work for the unorganized sectors of India and he initiated the same in his home state Bihar. Mr. Arbind Singh initiated National Association of Street Vendors of India (NASVI)in 1998. Under the sheer leadership of Mr. Arbind Singh NASVI has been intensely working for the promotion and protection of the interest of the street vendors from across the country. It was with NASVI’s unrelenting efforts along with other interventions that the central law for street vendors was enacted by the government in the year 2014.

Ms. Sangeeta Singh, Head, NASVI Street food Program Ms. Sangeeta Singh, Head, NASVI Street food Program
Ms. Sangeeta Singh joined NASVI in 2002. As the head of the NASVI Street Food Program, she has the overall responsibility of managing and facilitating street food vendor’s issues; facilitating registration of food vendors under FSA 2006; taking up health and hygiene related issues both at grass root and with policy makers and regulators. Ensuring training to street food vendors on food handling and hygiene maintenance as well as organizing street food festival at national and international platforms to showcase   gastronomic varieties of street food of India is major task of her job profile. Ms. Singh is also responsible for advocacy with stake holders for implementation of laws and policies and branding street food.

Mr.Kamalesh Kumar Upadhayay Accountant / Treasurer, NASVI 

Responsibilities- Accounting and Finance activities including budgeting, preparing monthly reconciliation and reports; Payable accounts receivables bank reconciliation Monthly accounting and reporting activities. Active participation in framing the various accounting policies and framework. Periodic filing of various return; preparation of Cash flow and funds flow statements along with other reporting as may   be required from time to time.

Office Staff Vishal Anand :- Program Coordinator
Vishal Anand has been working in NASVI since March,2014. Vishal has completed Business Management from IIBMS, Bangalore. Vishal is responsible for coordinating and Liasoning with Government department and Municipal bodies for street vendors livelihood programs and implementation of Street Vending Act. He is responsible for Trainings like The Street Vendors Protection of Livelihood and Regulation of Street Vending Act 2014, National Policy on Street vendors, Food Safety, also gives Leadership training to strengthen Street Vendors and their Market Committee, Town Level federation and Town Vending Committee, He conducts the survey of street vendors and coordinates with Municipal body and DAY-NULM for the constitution of TVC (Town Vending Committee) and to get street vendors ID Card, Street vending card and Vending zones.

Irfan Khan has been working in NASVI. Irfan has completed Master of Social Work from MANUU-Hyderabad. Irfan is responsible for coordinating and Liasoning with Government department and Municipal bodies for street vendors livelihood programs and implementation of Street Vending Act. He is responsible for Trainings like The Street Vendors Protection of Livelihood and Regulation of Street Vending Act 2014, National Policy on Street vendors.

Office Staff Muskan Khan:- HR Administrator
Muskan Khan has been working in NASVI since June, 2016. Her responsibilities are recruitment & selection, performance appraisal, employee retention and employee welfare. Her other administration activities include maintenance, travel & ticketing, looking after day to day office activities, record attendance and checking attendance register, preparing offer/appointment and various other letters and issue them to employees, preparing various MIS etc.
