Street Food to spice up Bharat Parva at Garden of Five Senses

Bharat Parva comes alive on 11th August with it’s the Street Food Festival.

Ministry of Tourism, GOI has invited 30 Street Food Stalls to explore extraordinary culinary diversity of India

8th August Delhi: To recognize and explore the diversity of Indian food culture, Ministry of Tourism, GOI has invited National Association of Street Vendors of India to put up 30 stalls of Street Food to celebrate Bharat Parva and also to create a huge culinary platter  where people can try out all kinds of different dishes. With all the different vendors there is an ample opportunity for everybody to try cuisines from all over the India.

Bringing together some of India’s culinary street food chefs bringing their unique style of street food-fusion to Delhi, the amazing gastronomical delights is set to Stimulate Your Sense Organs at Garden of five Senses (New Delhi) from 11th August to 15 August 2015.

NASVI, delving into its prestige and recognition for its unflinching commitment and work for the street vendors across India, is hosting an authentic India Street Food Festival at Garden of five Senses on invitation by Ministry of Tourism, GOI.

This festival will provide the perfect platform for Delhities to gorge on some of the best street food from India without ever leaving their city.  This unique food festival will provide a plethora of traditional dishes like Ball Mithai and Jhangora Kheer from Uttrakhand, Ghevar, Daal Bhaati Churma, Payaz Kachori, Mava Kachori from Rajasthan, Kakadabeli, Aloo Bonda , Mava Jalebi, Daal Bafle & Poha from Madhya Pradesh, Litti chokha, Ghughani Kachri, Chandrakala, Longlatta & Ballusahi from Bihar, Kebabs from Lucknow, Uttra Pradesh and many more which are made under very hygienic conditions and presented in authentic street food signature style.

NASVI believes that many a countries protect and promote street foods as street food enterprise contributes immensely to local economy and tourism. The concept of traditional street food has acquired new dimensions in developed countries, with food streets/ food centers emerging as new tourist attractions.  Evidences also suggest that the street food prepared with safe handling of ingredients and water contain more nutritional values in comparison to the foods served in hotels and restaurants.

NASVI National Coordinator Mr. Arbind Singh said it will be an occasion to reassert that the grassroots street food entrepreneurs play a wonderful role in poverty reduction, employment generation and enterprise building, and they make cities charming for all.
