In order to survey the number of street vendors spread out throughout the state of Bihar, the National Association of Street Vendors has now started the biometric system of survey in 7 cities of the state of Bihar, under this system each and every vendor can now be registered and recorded along with their thumbprint and the photo of their respective shops.
The survey will help identify hawkers in all seven districts. The survey will include the number of street vendors and their locations. “As per the hawker’s/street vendor’s policy, the hawkers will have to be provided identity cards, for which the survey is being carried out. The hawkers need to get themselves registered with us after which identity cards will be given to them.
