In the recent eviction drive, 250 vendors from Mahatma Gandhi hospital, Mathura Das hospital, Umed hospital were taken off from their livelihood in Jodhpur on the 13^th January 2010 by Jodhpur Municipal Corporation. NASVI and its member organization in Jodhpur staged a dharna against the unexpected eviction. All the four union and its members got together and asked for an explanation on this eviction. Hon’ble Mayor Shri. Rameshwar Dadhichi assured that he will start survey from 16^th January 2010 in all the 3 places, where the street vendors have been evicted and will be rehabilitated immediately.
